The new 189,000 square foot Women and Children’s Center has a total of 174-beds designed to give every patient and family an environment that provides innovative medical care and private comfortable rooms. The new 48-bed Level III Neonatal intensive care units includes the latest medical advances for babies born prematurely. The new Women and Children’s Center also includes a 32-bed pediatric unit designed to provide families with private rooms and a fold-out sleeper so family members can stay overnight. The site has a one level grade change from east to west which accommodates two distinct entries. To the east, visitors enter from the covered porch-ere on the second level through the glass vestibule towards the main registration desk. To the West, located on the first level, is the emergency entrance.
